Program Goals

APL uses the Abeka curriculum in each of our classrooms along with a combination of supporting and stimulating activities. Our classroom ratio is 12:1 for preschool ages 2 to 5 and 6:1 for our toddlers 18-36 months.

Spiritual—To provide a curriculum that will include biblical teachings about the life of Jesus Christ. Foundations for Christian living will instill a love for people, life and self.

Cognitive Skills—To provide children instruction that develops a positive attitude of acceptance and self-worth as they master new skills. We will involve the children in an educational program which includes science, math, reading readiness, rhythm, music and art.

Social Emotional Skills—To provide a safe environment which nurtures a sense of security; encourages the use of manners and taking turns. Social skills will build a foundation of self- esteem, self-worth and successful relationships.

Physical—To provide children with appropriate play techniques to develop good health habits, body coordination and enhance physical development through fine and gross motor movements.

Language—To provide children the opportunity to develop cognitive language expression through songs, stories, finger plays, rhymes and puppet plays.

Creative—To provide children with a variety of ways to express themselves creatively through art, music and play.
